Michael Ehrlich, Player Development Manager
Michael is a southern California native and graduate of Cal State Northridge and Southwestern University School of Law. After practicing law for 17 years in Los Angles, Michael left the legal profession in 1993 and relocated to Carson City, Nevada. He began his career in the hospitality/gaming industry as a Front Desk Clerk at the Reno Hilton. Over the next ten years, Michael "rose through the ranks" in various marketing positions including Casino Events Coordinator, Marketing Manager and Director of Casino Operations. Michael joined Sycuan in 2004 as Player Development Manager and has dramatically expanded and improved the Casino Host and Player Development Programs.
     
 


Darrin Bishop, Casino Host Manager

Darrin was born and raised in Northern Lower Michigan and received his bachelor of science in Accounting from Central Michigan University. After a five year stint as an accountant, he became a blackjack dealer at the MGM Grand in Detroit. Darrin moved to San Diego in 2002
and joined Sycuan Casino as a blackjack dealer. He quickly was promoted to Floor Manager and eventually Pit Manager on graveyard. In 2007 he completed his MBA from the University of Phoenix. In
April he was promoted to Casino Host Manager where he will continue to apply his knowledge and experience to continually improve the casino host program.

     
 
Jumar Alcantara
Jumar is a San Diego native. He has completed three years of college and earned a certificate in computer systems at United Education Institute. Jumar joined Sycuan Resort & Casino as a Shift Supervisor for Club Sycuan three years ago before making the move to the Host department. He is currently working toward an Indian Gaming Certificate at San Diego State University.
     
 
Samira Y Dawood

Samira was born in Baghdad, Iraq and is fluent in English and Chaldean and has been part of the Sycuan family since 2000. She worked for Customer Care and moved on to become Shift Supervisor for Club Sycuan and shortly after was promoted to Casino Host. Samira loves working at Sycuan and enjoys meeting and helping our guests every way possible.
     
 
Sandra Hall

Sandra was born and raised in San Diego. She started her career
at Sycuan Resort and Casino in November 2004 as a Slot Attendant
in the Slots Department. She attended and completed the Slots Mentoring Class where it prepared her to become a Slot Supervisor. She was promoted to Slot Supervisor immediately after completing the class. In November 2007 Sandra continued her upward mobility and was selected and moved on to become a Casino Host. Sandra enjoys interacting and taking care of casino guests and customers with her contagious pleasant personality. Sandra enjoys spending
time with her family and friends. She makes every effort to maintain
a positive attitude in all of life’s endeavors. Sandra is a Sycuan Casino team player in the highest degree.
     
 
Long Le
Long was born in South Vietnam and speaks five different languages including English, Vietnamese, Laos, Thai and Cambodian. Long has been a part of the Sycuan family since 1991. Long's goal is to make sure that every guest of Sycuan receives the personal attention and premier service they expect from a first-class organization. His motto is "You deserve the absolute best, and I'll make sure you get it."
     
 
Emi Matsumoto
Emi is a native San Diegan and has enjoyed all that San Diego has to offer. While studying business at San Diego State University, she was a member of the school's cheer squad and as a junior was given the opportunity to be a Charger Girl and cheer for her favorite football team. During her three seasons with the Chargers, Emi had many unforgettable experiences, including a trip to the American Bowl in Sydney, Australia. In 2005, she began her career in gaming as a blackjack dealer and is now part of the Player Development team as a host at Sycuan.
     
 
Barbara Pack
Barbara was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to San Diego 30 years ago to escape the snow. Barbara truly enjoys being a Casino Hostess at Sycuan. She enjoys meeting and working with all of our guests and has a constant smile on her face to prove it. Barbara's experience stems from having been a Supervisor in Guest Services and owning two service oriented businesses. Her hobbies include travel, fishing, dancing and horses.
     
 
Carolina Palmer
Carolina was born and raised in Mexico and is fluent in English and Spanish. Carolina started her career in the hospitality business six years ago and has found that working with people is what makes her happy. As a travel coordinator for a full service travel agency for five years, she enjoyed being connected to a global network along with the privilege of traveling to foreign lands to experience different cultures. Carolina started with Sycuan two years ago in food service before becoming a Casino Host about a year ago. She is currently finishing a hospitality program at Mesa College and just enrolled in the Indian Gaming program at San Diego State. She looks forward to welcoming guests to Sycuan and making their experience here a memorable one.
     
  Eddie Powers
Eddie was born and raised in San Jose, California. Being a first generation Vietnamese-American, Eddie can speak fluent English
and conversational Vietnamese. He graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with majors in both Finance and Marketing. Eddie moved to San Diego and joined the Sycuan family in May 2007 as a Club Sycuan Representative.With a passion for service excellence and a desire
to personalize the experience of Sycuan’s guests, Eddie became a Casino Host in August 2007. If you ever want to find him, just keep
an eye out for his contagious smile, high energy and upbeat personality. He loves meeting new people and isn’t afraid of
starting a conversation with anyone. So if you ever see him,
make sure you say hi!
     
  Connie Sandoval
Connie was born in Tijuana Mexico and is fluent in Spanish & English. Connie has been part of the Sycuan family since 2000. Prior to becoming a Casino Host, Connie specialized in providing the best in customer service, both as a front line employee and supervisor. She has one objective; to ensure our service here at Sycuan remains
the best!
     
 
Debbie Webb
Debbie is a native San Diegan and began her career in the legal industry, but later shifted to food service. Her food service career began at Quality Resort, later moving to Southwestern Yacht Club then finally to Sycuan Resort & Casino as a Food Service Manager. She recently moved to the Player Development Department as a Casino Host and continues to strive for excellence in customer service. Debbie looks forward to utilizing her experience and skills to help make Sycuan Resort & Casino the first choice for players.
